Meet Jane MacPherson

Jane Elizabeth MacPherson is a Wellness Practitioner and Certified Naturotherapist (APNN), and the primary practitioner behind See Jane Heal, a holistic wellness practice offering personalized Reiki, wellness sessions, and community workshops in Saint John, NB. Jane’s approach centers on relationship-based care — meeting each client where they are and creating a calm, judgment-free space for relaxation, balance, and healing.

Beyond her practice, Jane is deeply rooted in community care. She serves on the board of the Healing Roots Foundation for rehabilitation and recovery, has worked closely with women’s shelters across New Brunswick on fundraising and health technology initiatives, and spent four years as Vice President of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee for Canada Health Infoway. Her professional network spans local schools and medical clinics throughout Saint John — a reflection of her long-standing commitment to accessible, compassionate wellness care.

Education & Training

Jane’s work brings together a university grounding in human movement science with advanced training in yoga, Reiki and Ayurvedic Mārma therapy. It’s an approach that respects how the body works and makes room for gentle, complementary care that helps clients relax, release stress and feel more at home in their bodies.

Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology

University of New Brunswick
Jane’s foundation is the science of human movement: anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and exercise physiology, along with injury prevention, rehabilitation principles and functional assessment of mobility and strength. It shapes how she understands the body and how she tailors every session.

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Skyhawk Yoga, 2022
Alignment-focused movement, breathwork (pranayama) and practices that calm the nervous system, including how to adapt movement for recovery, mobility limitations and accessibility needs.

Reiki Master/Teacher, Usui Method of Natural Healing

Chrysalis Wellness Centre, 2019
Advanced practitioner and teaching-level training in Usui Reiki, a gentle, hands-on relaxation technique used to ease stress and support emotional balance. As a Master/Teacher, Jane is qualified to offer sessions and to teach and attune students at every level.

Certified Naturotherapist

APN School, 2026
Training in natural, non-invasive approaches that support overall well-being, including lifestyle guidance and complementary therapies. Jane is a member in good standing of the Alliance of Professional Naturopaths and Naturotherapists (APNN) and is currently working toward her Naturopathic Doctor (ND) designation.

Naturotherapist or Naturopathic Doctor: What’s the Difference?

It’s a question clients often ask, and we want you to know exactly what to expect.

A Certified Naturotherapist is trained in natural, non-invasive approaches to wellness, such as energy work, relaxation, lifestyle support and complementary therapies. Jane’s naturotherapy work supports your overall well-being alongside the care you get from your doctor or other healthcare providers. She doesn’t diagnose medical conditions or replace medical treatment.

A Naturopathic Doctor (ND) has completed a four-year accredited naturopathic medical program after an undergraduate degree, has passed national board exams, and is licensed to diagnose and treat health conditions where the profession is regulated.

Jane is currently working toward her ND. Until she finishes it, she practises as a Certified Naturotherapist and does not use the ND title.

Insurance Coverage & Professional Associations

Jane is a member in good standing of the APNN. After each session, you’ll get an official APNN receipt that you can submit to your extended health plan under naturopathy / naturopath coverage.

APNN receipts are accepted by most major insurers, except Canada Life and IA Financial Group (Industrial Alliance). Coverage amounts differ from plan to plan, so check your benefits before booking. Questions? Contact Jane.
